Douglas Denoff is a Tony Award-winning, Drama Desk and Emmy Award-winning producer and Grammy Award nominee. He has received eleven Tony Award nominations.
Douglas made his lead producing debut on Broadway with the hit show Celebrity Autobiography which ran at the Shubert Theatre from May 15, 2026 thru June 21, 2026. The show, which was a New York Times Critics Pick and Drama Desk Award Winner, had previous runs off-Broadway at the Triad Theatre, in Los Angeles, London, Sydney and many other cities worldwide. The show is an award-winning international sensation with the tag line "We Couldn't Make This Stuff Up!". When celebrities decide to write their autobiographies, it's astonishing the embarrassing things they think are appropriate to put in print. Celebrity Autobiography is a rotating cast of today’s top celebrities reading these hilarious passages directly from other stars autobiographies and having fun with them in group and solo pieces. The show will also return to London in 2026-2027 where it played to full houses at the Leicester Theatre in 2010.
Douglas made his UK producing debut with the hit play Interview, which ran at Riverside Studios August 23 -September 27, 2025. The play, which starred Tony Award-winner Robert Sean Leonard (House, The Gilded Age, To Kill A Mockingbird West End) and Paten Hughes (Heirloom, A View From The Bridge) played to full houses and a transfer to the West End is planned for 2026. In addition, in collaboration with producers David Luff (Network) and Oliver King, he is producing The History of Love, adapted and directed by Emily Maltby from the novel by Nicole Kraus, which will premiere at the Marylebone Theatre in January 2027 starring Richard Schiff (West Wing)
On Broadway, he was a co-producer of Stereophonic on Broadway which was the most Tony Award-nominated play of all time and which won the 2024 Tony Award for Best Play. Stereophonic also played on the West End at the Duke of York’s Theatre from June 12 to November 22, 2025. He was represented on Broadway in 2025 as a co-producer on Good night and Good Luck, starring George Clooney, John Proctor is the Villain, starring Sadie Sink, Dead Outlaw, directed by David Cromer, and Real Women Have Curves. John Proctor ran at London’s Royal Court Theatre from March 20 through 25 April, 2026 and transfers to Wyndham’s theatre on the West End starting February 2, 2027 for a 12-week run.
Other recent New York credits as co-producer include The Roommate starring Mia Farrow and Patti Lupone, Left on Tenth starring Julianna Margulies and Peter Gallagher, and the revival of Once Upon A Mattress starring Sutton Foster and Michael Urie, The Sign In Sidney Brustein’s Window starring Rachel Brosnahan, Oscar Issac and Tony-winner Miriam Silverman, Take Me Out, Slave Play, Sea Wall/A Life starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Tom Sturridge, Pretty Woman, Torch Song, American Son, John Leguizamo’s Latin History for Morons, Fiddler on the Roof, China Doll starring Al Pacino, Clever Little Lies starring Marlo Thomas, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, Nice Work if You Can Get It, and the ever- joyous comedy The 39 Steps. On the West End, he was a co-producer of the 5-star revival of Crazy For You starring Charlie Stemp and the UK production of Pretty Woman.
He recently produced the sold-out run of Arthur Miller’s A View From The Bridge on the New Haven waterfront in collaboration with Long Wharf Theatre.
Other upcoming productions as lead producer in addition to Celebrity Autobiography and Interview are The Lucky Star; Lulu (adapted from Frank Wedekind’s The Lulu Plays); and John Rando & Josh Bergasse’s hilarious revival of The Pirates of Penzance in London. He is also developing a new 25-part television series based on James Michener’s novel The Source.
