The Theatre Artists Fund has announced that it is looking to support freelancers who would not have been eligible to apply in the recent round of funding (through which just over £2m was distributed) but who are now in financial need due to their anticipated work being in a part of the country that finds itself in Tier 3.

The show features a cast that’s been reshuffled from the conception of Alice Hamilton’s project, with Alec Newman and Shane Zaza taking over from Philip Jackson and Harry Lloyd - who’d previously been announced for the original run in March for the play’s 60th anniversary.

Hackney Empire today announces Jack and the Beanstalk which was previously  scheduled to open in December 2020, will now open in December 2021, marking the 22nd pantomime at the East End venue. Jack and the Beanstalk will run from 20th November  2021 to 2nd January 2022 with press night on Thursday 2nd December 2021. Tickets will go on  sale to the public from 9th December at 12noon.
