The Barricade Boys are performing at Trentham, Staffordshire, as part of their critically acclaimed national tour.

Nine new, tour-ready, performance works are to be presented in a range of digital settings, alongside seven new projects, supported as part of a 'residency' programme, which enables artists to play with new performance ideas across a range of formats and genres.

The 16 piece orchestra complete with full string sections will perform Dr Dre's 2001, Kanye West's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Beyonce's Lemonade, Destiny's Child's Greatest Hits, Frank Ocean's Blonde vs Orange and Daft Punk's Greatest Hits.

Uncle Vanya was filmed on stage under strict covid protocols at the Harold Pinter Theatre in the middle of 2020.

Tickets for the Studio season in the Mercury's refurbished theatre, go on sale on Tuesday 20 July at 10:30am.

The season opens with the world premiere of internationally-renowned curious directive's DECIPHERING (7 Sept – 2 Oct, 21).

Full principal casting includes the legendary Kat B as Simple Simon, Zoe Curlett as Fenella Fleshcreep, Julie Jupp as Fairy Fusia, Ellie Ruiz Rodriguez as Jill Higginbottom, Rochelle Sherona as Jack Trot, Tony Whittle as Councillor Higginbottom and Clive Rowe as Dame Daisy Trott.

General public on sale is at 10am, Thursday 22nd July, but fans can sign up for an exclusive presale on 10am, Wednesday 21st July.

The Autumn and Winter exhibitions are Makers Tale from 14 September – 30 October, Linescapes from 9 November – Christmas Closure, 45(A) from 9 November – 4 December and Same Sea, Different Boat from 11 January – 5 March 2022.

As a result of the easing of restrictions not permitting standing theatre tickets, the open-air Globe theatre has now announced that 200 of the £5 standing tickets are now on sale for performances from the 29 July.

The reopening season will include a new version of Grease, the award-winning musical Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Dolly Parton's  9 to 5,  Everybody's Talking About Jamie,  Heathers the Musical, and the Christmas family pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

For all long-running shows until March 2022, the theatre will guarantee two performances each week will remain socially distanced, in order to cater for vulnerable members of the public or those who need to keep extra precautions in place.
