Last night, the long-awaited opening of La Cage! commenced. The Cinegrill theater, which is secretly hidden behind a bookcase at the iconic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, was packed as audiences were transported to a world of glitz and glamor. See photos from the evening below!

Whether you're a lifelong mega-fan of Blood Brothers, or have never heard of it, this particular production is so finely curated with accomplished performances that I can't imagine anyone being disappointed.

On Monday, September 18, singer/songwriter Amanda McBroom returned to the Birdland stage with her musical director/songwriting partner Michele Brourman and special guest Sally Mayes in a show titled “Such Good Friends.” See photos from the show.

The curtain was raised on Wednesday night for the opening of the first National Tour of MJ. The cast took their opening night bows at the James M. Nederlander Theatre (24 W. Birdland Theater was all abuzz last week.

Six has just partnered with Bond 45 to create the Queens Corner, a special dining area inspired by the musical, featuring purple upholstery and a brass plaque to celebrate SIX on Broadway. Bond 45 will also be adding a SIX-inspired purple cocktail, The Queens’ Cup, to the menu. The Theatre World Awards were presented Monday night, June 5.  Julie Benko received the 14th Annual Dorothy Loudon Award for Excellence in the Theater, and 2023 TWA Special Award Honorees, Marilyn Caserta for Outstanding Swing and Dale Badway for Outstanding Contribution to the Theatre World.  Check out photos here!

It was a celebrity filled audience last night and the glamor of Manhattan Cabaret nightlife was in abundance for Lorna Dallas and her show at the Laurie Beechman Theatre titled “Glamorous Nights and Rainy Days.

The Hollywood Museum played host to a spectacular photo exhibit, for Mother's Day to pay homage to the matriarchs of the MOTION PICTURE MOTHERS organization and the most celebrated working moms in entertainment with loving and amusing images with their families. 'Come Celebrate With Marilyn Maye' April 8 - 10th (and continued the last week in May). Marilyn Maye followed her sold out Carnegie Hall Concert by celebrating her 95th birthday with a sold out run of shows at 54 Below. Featuring musical trio Tedd Firth, Tom Hubbard, and Mark McLean.

“Direct from Carnegie Hall…..”  that oft used introduction was never more accurately applied then it was last night for Marilyn Maye as she was presented by Legends Radio at it’s Benefactors Gala Celebrating “Legendary Ladies”.

“CASHINO,” the long-running LA and NYC cult hit made it’s debut at Birdland for one night only on Monday, April 3. Susie Mosher (Hairspray and host of Birdland’s “The Lineup”) and recording artist John Boswell starred as Pepper Cole and Johnny Niagra in the special concert version of the critically acclaimed multimedia musical show.
