Set upon a picture-perfect sky on the Fire Island Pines' glistening Great South Bay, the 25th anniversary edition of Fire Island Dance Festival brought together a diverse, captivating program of world premieres, dance legends and stirring storytelling. The festival on July 19-21 raised a record-shattering $657,842 for Dancers Responding to AIDS, a program of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Trumpet icon Herb Alpert and Grammy Award-winning vocalistproducer Lani Hall return to Cafe Carlyle performing new and classic songs, November 19-30. Lani Hall started her career as the lead singer of Sergio Mendes' breakthrough group, Brasil 66. Herb Alpert's legendary career includes five decades of unprecedented breakthroughs as a musician, painter, sculptor, and record executive and philanthropist. A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Herb Alpert has sold over 72 million albums worldwide.

The production opens tomorrow, May 31st and runs for three weekends, Fridays and Saturdays as 8pm and Sundays at 3pm, under the direction of Liz Millea. Located on the campus of California State University, Long Beach, the Carpenter Center launches its 25th anniversary season on Saturday, September 21, 2019. New series subscriptions are on sale now with single tickets on sale starting May 21, 2019. The Carpenter Center showcases a dazzling array of talent every year, enriching the Cal State Long Beach campus and the Southern California community, says Executive Director Megan Kline Crockett. On May 3, 4 and 5, 2019, The Community Players of Concord, NH will proudly present Something's Afoot, A Murder Mystery Musical, a spoof of murder mysteries in general, but mainly, Agatha Christie's mysteries, especially her famous novel and play And Then There Were None (a/k/a Ten Little Indians).
