North Coast Repertory Theatre announced its 44th Spotlight Gala, 'An Evening of Laughter with Rita Rudner', set to entertain attendees with a night of comedy.

The 2026 Helen Hayes Award nominations have been announced, recognizing outstanding achievement in Washington-area professional theatre. Arena Stage, Signature Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Round House Theatre, and dozens of regional companies are represented across performance, direction, design, and production categories. The awards highlight the breadth of theatre work presented throughout the D.C. metropolitan area.

Enthusiastic performances, a snappy live band, bright costumes and lively dancing adorn Toby's production of ELF The Musical. The 41st Helen Hayes Awards took place on May 19, 2025, at The Anthem, honoring excellence in Washington D.C. theatre. Signature Theatre led with six wins. Awards were presented in 41 categories from 165 eligible 2024 productions.

Overall, the night was highly enthralling and a testament to the importance of young minds' access to the arts. The performers at YAA should certainly be proud of the performance on the 26th, and hopefully feeling the wonder of performing in such a wonderful space, and of sharing a show with gritty and pertinent themes.
