Disney’s Finding Nemo JR. is a “fin-tastic” musical adaptation of the beloved 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo. Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Ariel-Foundation Park and Mount Vernon Arts Consortium presented Thunderstruck - an AC/DC Tribute band on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Thunderstruck gives fans so much more than the sound of AC/DC, they truly capture the high voltage energy and experience! It’s about a contagious kind of power and electricity that few AC/DC tribute bands can provide. Several food trucks and beverage options were available as the audience enjoyed the ultimate summer kickoff event! Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator, the musical follows preferred son Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family.

The story explores the repercussions of living a lie, unable to live your true self due to society and homophobia within the entertainment industry, the thin, ugly boundary between love and hate, the cost of unbridled ambition, and the shame of growing older in a society that puts a premium on youth.  It’s the remarkable true story of two men who in their quest to be somebody, lost themselves.

Despite all odds, Horton and Gertrude band together to save the Whos, free Horton, and restore peace and unity to the Jungle of Nool. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD.
