Originally from Scotland, Gayle Rankin made her Off-Broadway debut in Tony Kushner's adaptation of The Illusion at the Signature Theater Company. She was next seen in Tribes, directed by David Comer, which had a long and successful run at the Barrow Street Theater before transferring to the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. Since her graduation from Juilliard, Gayle has continued to work intermittently at Lake Lucille, developing the role of "Nina" in Brian Mertes' production of The Seagull. Crossing over to television and film and after roles in “Law & Order: SVU” and the indie film East of Acadia, Gayle was cast as a series regular in the HBO pilot “The Missionary”. Cabaret marks Gayle's Broadway debut.
