Artistic Director Lisa Spirling and Executive Director Hanna Streeter have announced their first season at Stratford East, with exciting plans for the venue as a whole. The new season includes Here There Are Blueberries by Moisés Kaufman and Amanda Gronich, BLOODSPORT: After Helen of Troy by Ava Pickett and Choir Boy by Tarell Alvin McCraney. We had the opportunity to talk with both Spirling and Streeter about their first season at the theatre. We discussed what made each of them want to join Stratford East, some of their favourite shows they’ve seen at the venue and all about about the upcoming season!

Hackmatack Playhouse in Berwick, Maine has announced the launch of a new Theater for Young Audiences (TYA) initiative for summer 2025. Titled Tilted Tales: Folktales, Fairytales, and Fables, the original three-part series is designed for children ages 3 to 7 and will feature immersive, interactive productions that reimagine classic stories through a fresh and playful lens.
Tilted Axes Returns To Detroit's Concert Of Colors Festival

The Concert of Colors is Detroit's annual free global music festival, celebrating diverse world music traditions and cultural exchange. It takes place in Midtown Detroit, with the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) serving as the main stage. The festival also includes the Forum on Community, Culture, and Race, a series of conversations focusing on the role of arts in addressing social issues.
