Review: ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL at The Old Globe
by ErinMarie Reiter - Jun 20, 2025
The Old Globe gives “All’s Well That Ends Well” the royal treatment with glam costumes and a game cast, but that only goes so far in distracting from the lack of romance in this romantic comedy.

by Jay Irwin - Jun 1, 2025
Dear Readers, when discussing the musical of Alice Walker’s classic novel “The Color Purple”, you must acknowledge the production’s own journey from the tepidly received original 2005 Broadway production to the enthusiastically received 2015 Broadway revival which launched the career of the incredible Cynthia Erivo. Review: DERECHO at La Jolla Playhouse
by ErinMarie Reiter - Aug 4, 2024
At first glance, the world premiere of “Derecho” by Noelle Viñas at the La Jolla Playhouse may look like a play about politics, but it is more ambitious than that.
