BIO
Ball grew up in Summerfield, North Carolina. His father is a paramedic and his mother is an emergency room nurse. He attended Northwest Guilford High School.
After moving to New York City and spending five years acting in local theater productions throughout the United States, he received a Certificate in Drama from the David Geffen School of Drama at Yale University in 2022. That year, he also received a BFA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, which allowed his Certificate in Drama to be converted to a Master of Fine Arts degree.
He made his television debut as a guest on Law & Order in 2023. In 2025, he began playing Dr. Frank Langdon on the HBO Max medical drama television series The Pitt. He also starred as Prince Hamlet in Robert O'Hara's production of Hamlet at the Mark Taper Forum from May to July 2025.
Ball appeared as Sampson in Romeo and Juliet at High Point Theatre (2012). In 2015, he played Laurence in Shining City at Barrington Stage Company and Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at Triad Stage. In 2016, he portrayed Ethan in Sex with Strangers at TheaterWorks and Chris in All My Sons at Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. In 2017, he reprised the role of Ethan in Sex with Strangers at Hurst Theatre, played John in The Lover at Shakespeare Theatre Company, and Bill in The Collection. In 2023, he appeared as Peter Norman in The XIXth at Old Globe Theatre, Bob in Waiting in the Wings: The Musical at Theatre at St. Clements (Off-Broadway), and Michael in Las Aventuras de Juan Planchard at Colony Theatre. He later played Prince Hamlet in Hamlet at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles (2025) and Andrew in Becky Shaw at the Hayes Theater on Broadway (2026).
