Nikki Snelson Biography

Snelson's first major role on Broadway was "Winnie Tate" in the 1999 Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun, opposite Bernadette Peters. She also appeared on Broadway in the revival of Sweet Charity in 2005, starring Christina Applegate.

In 2007, Snelson originated the role of "Brooke Wyndam" in the world premiere of Legally Blonde: The Musical in San Francisco. She performed the same role in the Broadway production at the Palace Theatre, opening in April 2007.

In 2008, she left the company of Legally Blonde to join the National tour of A Chorus Line, as "Cassie", starting in May 2008. She then appeared in 42nd Street at The Muny in St. Louis in June 2009, as "Annie", opposite Robert Cuccioli.

Snelson originated the role of the Mad Hatter in the world premiere of the new Frank Wildhorn musical Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure.

Vanguard University's department of theatre arts will present the musical adaptation of the 1940's Christmas movie classic, Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn. The production is presented in the Lyceum Theater on the Vanguard University campus, beginning November 18th, 2022 and running three weekends through December 11th.

Omaha's Broadway dreams will come true for the second consecutive summer when The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) partners with Omaha Performing Arts to present their acclaimed Summer Performing Arts Intensive Monday, June 11 through Sunday, June 17, 2011 at the Holland Performing Arts Center (1200 Douglas Street, Omaha, NE). Acclaimed theatrical director and producer Richard Jay-Alexander and a roster of Broadway veterans will work with aspiring young performers from the Omaha area throughout the week in preparation for 'True Colors,' a one of a kind Broadway concert open to the public. This August, from the 18th through the 21st, the Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) will host its Summer Performing Arts Intensive in Philadelphia! During the intensive, attendees will receive first-rate training in acting, dance and vocal performance daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. by savvy Broadway veterans who will share their invaluable insider knowledge on the skills needed to make it in show business. Students will also learn how to improve their audition skills (song selections and cold readings) and attend classes geared toward college and career planning (headshots and resumes). At week's end, all participants will have the opportunity to perform alongside their Broadway idols in a 'one night only' concert event. Tony-winner Alice Ripley (Next To Normal) will participate as the guest teacher for the intensive.
