Marin Hinkle

Hinkle began her stage career with Off-Broadway productions including A Woman Without a Name as Susi Balis and Ambrosio as Antonia in 1992. In 1994, she played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C., opposite Jean Stapleton as the Nurse. In 1995, she appeared on Broadway in The Tempest as Kuroko and understudied the role of Miranda at the Broadhurst Theatre. She also appeared as Sandra Markowitz in A Thousand Clowns in 1996 at the Criterion Center Stage Right. In 2016, she appeared as Dr. Rebecca Ellins on Castle. From 2016 to 2019, she played Dr. Miller on Speechless, appearing in 22 episodes. She appeared as Christine Lonas on Homeland from 2017 to 2018 and as Rose Weissman on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel from 2017 to 2023, appearing in 43 episodes. Hinkle's film credits began with Young Joanne in Angie in 1994. In 1996, she appeared as Carla in Milk & Money, Larissa in Breathing Room, and Hannah in I'm Not Rappaport. Her 1998 film credits included Amy in Chocolate for Breakfast and Pea in Show & Tell. In 2000, she played Karen in Killing Cinderella and Sissy Clark in Frequency. In 2017, Hinkle appeared as Janice Gilpin, Spencer's Mom, in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. She returned to the role in Jumanji: The Next Level in 2019. In 2024, she played Karen Kirk in Players, followed by Ms. Sablinsky in The Electric State in 2025. She is also credited as Janice Gilpin, Spencer's Mom, in Jumanji: Open World.
