Dan Amboyer is an American actor, best known for his starring role as Prince William, Duke of Cambridge in the television movie William & Catherine: A Royal Romance, which also featured Victor Garber, Jean Smart, and Jane Alexander.Born in Detroit, Amboyer attended arts boarding school Interlochen Arts Academy. Amboyer continued his studies at the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama.
Amboyer has made guest appearances on the television series "Inside Amy Schumer," "Law & Order," "Body of Proof," and "All My Children." He has worked extensively in Off-Broadway and regional theatre. Amboyer is a founding member of the theatre company Exit, Pursued by a Bear (EPBB), lead by Ed Iskandar.
