Cooper daSilva

Cooper daSilva is a talented musical theater performer and a high school senior at the Long Island High School for the Arts (LIHSA). A versatile rising talent, Cooper seamlessly transitions between charismatic leading roles and scene-stealing comedic characters. His impressive resume features standout performances as Dmitry (Anastasia), Barnaby Tucker (Hello, Dolly!), Lumiere (Beauty and the Beast), and Jack (Into the Woods), alongside key roles in 13, The Wizard of Oz, and Oliver! Jr.

An award-winning vocalist, Cooper captured a second-place finish in the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra’s vocal competition with his rendition of “Bring Him Home” from Les Misérables. His vocal excellence is backed by consecutive selections to the All-County Chorus (2019–2026) and the NY-ACDA High School Honor Choir (2024–2026). To refine his triple-threat skill set, Cooper trains under vocal coach Stephanie McKenna and studied Broadway theater jazz, tap, and ballet at the American Theatre Dance Workshop.
Cooper’s dedication has earned him prestigious training opportunities, including back-to-back scholarships to the LIHSA Summer Musical Theater Program—where he starred as Nemo (Finding Nemo) and Lord Farquaad (Shrek). He also completed advanced summer training at the Norwalk Conservatory Pre-College Intensive and New York City Center’s Preludes! program. In December 2023, Cooper made his New York City debut at The Triad Theatre in Doris Dear’s An Animated Christmas, returning as a featured performer for the 2024, 2025, and upcoming 2026 Doris Dear Christmas show. Driven by a strong work ethic and natural charisma, Cooper is quickly establishing a bright future in the performing arts.
