BUDGET DIRECTOR - KVPAC- Position Title: Budget Director
Status: Exempt, Full time (32 hours per week)Immediate Supervisor: KVPAC Executive Artistic DirectorMandatory Office Hours: 9:00pm- 3:30pm Mon.-Fri (offsite work as needed)Salary: $25,000Benefits: One week paid vacation, 10 paid Holiday, 3 personal days, 5 sick days, and a 100% tuition discount on KVPAC classes for self and all dependants Position Summary:The Budget Director will exhibit entrepreneurial leadership skills in the development of a business plan that includes fiscally responsible budgets, income potential and fundraising; as well as full community involvement at the highest level. Working closely with the Executive Artistic Director, the Budget Director will supervise the physical condition of the facilities, and supervise administrative systems.Essential Job Functions:Financial Affairs: The Budget Director will work with the Treasurer and the Executive Artistic Director to develop an annual operating budget that is subject to monthly review and approval by the Board. The Budget Director will administer the budget in accordance with established policy, though fiduciary responsibility lies with the Board and the Treasurer.
Development: The Budget Director will be responsible for organizing, creating and coordinating a development program that meets the needs of KVPAC. This effort will include: 1. Coordinating, preparing and presenting annual grant requests to city, county, state and federal governments, and other sources of funds for the organization; 2. Developing the annual budget with the Executive Artistic Director to present to the Board of Trustees, including providing monthly financial reporting and forecasting, cash flow management, capital spending and expenditures review and approval.Community Relations: Acting as the representative and advocate of the theatre with government agencies, insurance companies, community and local business groups and arts organizations.All other duties as assigned.Accountability: The Budget Director of KVPAC is accountable to the Executive Artistic Director and the Board of Directors.KVPAC values and requires all staff to adhere to the following guidelines:Understanding, influencing and serving others are important attributes in all position.
