The new comedy musical, Mr. Saturday Night, starring stage and screen legend Billy Crystal, just began previews on Broadway last night, March 29th and will officially open on Wednesday, April 27th.

Roundabout Theatre Company is getting ready to present the New York premiere of Birthday Candles by Noah Haidle, starring Emmy Award winner Debra Messing, directed by Vivienne Benesch. Birthday Candles will begin preview performances this Friday, March 18, 2022 and open officially on Sunday, April 10, 2022. The Scottish play is coming back to Broadway! On March 29, previews begin for MACBETH, directed by Tony Award winner Sam Gold (A Doll's House, Part 2; Fun Home). Beginning last night, March 14, the Broadway production of SIX welcomed Keri René Fuller in the role of Jane Seymour, Joy Woods as Catherine Parr, and alternate Hana Stewart to the cast. Fuller will remain in the cast while Abby Mueller takes a medical leave of absence. Stewart will serve as an alternate for the Broadway cast now through April 10.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported,  the North American tour of Six, the new musical by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss. The tour of Six will launch with a return engagement of the show to Chicago and will play at Broadway In Chicago's CIBC Theatre from March 29-July 3.

Ma-Yi Theater Company is presenting THE CHINESE LADY, which officially opened last night, March 8, at The Public Theater. The Chinese Lady is written by Lloyd Suh and Directed by Ralph B. Peña.

Just last night, Roundabout Theatre Company honored the great Chit Rivera at its 2022 Gala 'Paint the Town' at the Ziegfield Ballroom in New York City. The evening celebrated Ms. Rivera's contribution to the theater and include the presentation of The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre.

NAATCO (National Asian American Theatre Company) is presenting the world premiere production of OUT OF TIME at The Public Theater. OUT OF TIME is written by Jaclyn Backhaus, Sam Chanse, Mia Chung, Naomi Iizuka, and Anna Ouyang Moench, Commissioned and Produced by NAATCO, and Conceived and Directed by Les Waters. This world premiere opened just last night and runs through Sunday, March 13.
