Gamut Theatre Group to Celebrate Shakespeare's Birthday Next Month
(3/27/2015) - Gamut Theatre Group will host their annual celebration in honor of William Shakespeare's birthday on April 26, 2015 from 4-7 p.m. at Gamut Classic Theatre on the third floor of Strawberry Square. The event, sponsored by Lois Lehrman Grass and David and Katharine Newhouse, will feature delicious food and wine, as well as beer from the Appalachian Brewing Company. William Shakespeare, along with Queen Elizabeth will be present to mingle with guests. Entertainment will be provided by a trio from the Harrisburg Symphony, a performance from Gamut's Theatre School students, and a hilarious spoof on Macbeth by Gamut's core company actors.
Reading Theater Project to Present THE MARRIAGE EXPO(SE), Opening 5/2
(3/26/2015) - The Reading Theater Project has created a new production, The Marriage Expo(se?), about marriage in the 21st century. Performances will take place at the Olympian Ballroom at 603 Penn Avenue in West Reading. Opening night is Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 8pm and the production will run through May 10, 2015.
Hanover Little Theatre Presents FIVE WOMEN WEARING THE SAME DRESS
(3/21/2015) - Hanover Little Theatre will present Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, April 10-19, which takes a comic look at five reluctant, identically clad bridesmaids avoiding the reception. As the afternoon wears on, these five very different women joyously discover a common bond in this wickedly funny, irreverent and touching celebration.
