Host Analytics Cited As a Leader by Independent Research Firm

REDWOOD CITY, CA - Host Analytics, the leader in cloud-based enterprise performance management (EPM), today announced it  was among the selected companies that Forrester Research, Inc. invited to participate in its report, The Forrester Wave™: Financial Performance Management, Q3 2013. In this evaluation, Host Analytics was cited as a Leader in financial performance management (FPM).

The report recognized that, "Host Analytics shows the most breadth and maturity among the rapidly growing software-as-a-service (SaaS)-only FPM solution providers." Having evaluated 11 different software vendors across 55 evaluation criteria, Forrester analysts placed Host Analytics in the Leaders category based on its scores in current offering, strategy, and market presence. The report states, "Host Analytics enables financial agility in the cloud... Its solution is a good choice for both medium-sized companies needing rapid deployment and enterprise-class companies looking for predictable ownership costs and easy upgrades."

The report also highlights the accelerating adoption of SaaS and cloud-based financial solutions. Forrester analysts note, "Adoption of SaaS financial solutions accelerates in FPM. SaaS adoption is already mainstream in several application areas, such as human resources management and customer relationship management, and is rapidly gaining momentum in the finance arena, including both core financial accounting and FPM. Hundreds of firms have already made the transition to SaaS or "cloud" -based FPM systems, and this adoption will continue to accelerate."

Forrester further describes the shift from outdated on-premises applications to SaaS. Specifically, "SaaS differentiates newer offerings from traditional deployment models. As on-premises applications become outdated and difficult to maintain, SaaS becomes more attractive to firms seeking faster implementation, lower cost, and easier upgrades."

"The cloud is an unstoppable force transforming enterprise applications," said Dave Kellogg, CEO of Host Analytics, "and the cloud is now starting to transform finance in the same way that it has transformed sales, marketing, and HR. We are thrilled to be recognized by Forrester as a Leader in the FPM Wave and excited about leading the transformation of finance to its cloud future. Our aim is to be the Salesforce.com of performance management, and we are well on our way in pursuing it."
