Preview Opening Song From Disney's FROZEN
A tantalizing preview of the majestic and epic opening song for Disney's forthcoming animated feature film FROZEN has leaked, showcasing the thrilling sounds of the score for the film by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, along with Frode Fjellheim in this instance.
The chant features a slowly building choral onslaught wittily mimicking the visual sense of snow falling and accumulating - a particularly applicable feature to a film titled FROZEN, no doubt.
This Norweigan-inspired musical section is credited primarily to Fjelllheim and acts as a precursor to the final film version, also incorporating musical elements by B.S. Ingemann, as well.
Reportedly, according to recent interviews with chorus members and Fjellheim himself by Radio Disney, most of the music available in this new preview will be utlized in the final version of the film while one section will not.
Of note, a new poster was released this week (pictured) as well as the announcement of a new trailer set to premiere next week featuring even more footage from the highly anticipated family-friendly film.
The new official synopsis for FROZEN is as follows: "Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey-teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven-to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf (voice of Josh Gad), Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom."
FROZEN is directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, with a screenplay by Jennifer Lee and Shane Morris based on the Hans Christian Andersen story THE SNOW QUEEN. FROZEN stars the voice talents of Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, Jonathan Groff, Santino Fontana, Josh Gad and more.
FROZEN is set to be released nationwide on November 27.
