NYC Parks Offers Over 40 Free Fitness Classes Today
NYC Parks is offering more than 40 free fitness classes this Valentine's Day, today, February 14, 2014. All activities are open to the public and no membership or pre-registration is required.
Activities will take place at the following Recreation Centers:
· St. John's Recreation Center, Brooklyn
· Brownsville Recreation Center, Brooklyn
· St. James Recreation Center, Bronx
· Williamsbridge Oval Recreation Center, Bronx
· Sorrentino Recreation Center, Queens
· Al Oerter Recreation Center, Queens
· Asser Levy Recreation Center, Manhattan
· Hansborough Recreation Center, Manhattan
· Greenbelt Recreation Center, Staten Island

Resistance Stretching: This total body workout helps tone, firm and build lean muscles through movements using light resistance bands. (Greenbelt Recreation Center, Staten Island)
Yoga Fundamentals: Increase strength, flexibility and awareness. A great class for beginners or yogis looking to polish their practice. (Hansborough Recreation Center, Manhattan)
Zumba: A fusion of Latin, international and popular music dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic, fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body with easy to follow dance steps. (St. John's Recreation Center, Brooklyn)
