Center Stage Records has released the EP featuring three selections from It’s Kind of a Funny Story: A New Musical in streaming and digital formats today, Friday, November 14. It’s Kind of a Funny Story features music and lyrics by Drew Gasparini and book by two-time Tony Award nominee Alex Brightman.

Performances begin November 1, for the Broadway production of Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York). The production will officially open on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Longacre Theatre. Meet the cast of Two Strangers here!

Recently, we had the chance to speak with David Reed and Humphrey Kerr about Sherlock Holmes & The 12 Days of Christmas. We discussed what inspired them to create the show, taking on the iconic roles of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, and even what it has been like collaborating with Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber!

We’re thrilled to have the chance to speak with composer Bob Kelly, one of the creators behind Confessions: A New Musical, which is set to have a private industry reading in New York City on October 20. The musical is based on Tom Rastrelli’s memoir Confessions of a Gay Priest and explores the powerful intersection of faith, sexuality, and identity through the eyes of a Catholic priest confronting his truth.

Megan Ita O’Rourke is an actor-writer with a gift for creating stories that share a positive light on vulnerability. During a raw time in her life, after the passing of her father, O’Rourke wrote a poem full of inner thoughts and openness. That very same poem would transform beautifully into her debut play. After an incredible run at The Cockpit last year, 384 Days is back for a limited two-night run at The Pleasance Theatre this month. BroadwayWorld sat down with O’Rourke to gain an insight into the world of her play and hear all about her passion.
