Funny Girl is a semi-autobiographical comedic musical about the life and times of comedian and Broadway star Fanny Brice, and her tumultuous relationship with entrepreneur and gambler Nick Arnstein. With a musical score by Jules Styne, lyrics by Bob Merill, and featuring a book by Isobel Lennart, Funny Girl first opened on Broadway in 1964 featuring Barbara Streisand in the starring role, and was produced by Fanny’s own son-in-law Ray Stark. The first Broadway production received 8 Tony Nominations at the 18th Annual Awards Ceremony, and the OBC (Original Broadway Cast) Recording was inducted into the Grammy’s Hall of Fame in 2004.

Audible Inc. will present three additional live performance dates for The Energy Curfew Music Hour, featuring the Grammy Award-winning band Punch Brothers, at Audible’s Minetta Lane Theatre.

Andy E McGuire releases a stunning music video for his single 'All Mighty God' that explores faith, loss, and redemption. The video features powerful vocals, scenes in an empty church, and cuts from his mother's life. McGuire's self-taught musical talent has gained recognition, and the video was showcased at the Rome International Festival.

Kids in the Rotunda, Madison’s family-friendly, FREE Saturday arts performance series, continues on Overture Center’s Rotunda stage in December with three shows by popular returning artists.

The Royal Court Theatre announced the launch of Living Archive, their first ever standalone online archive. The digital archive holds information on every play which has ever been presented on the Royal Court stages from when it opened its doors in 1956 to the present day, totalling almost 2000 works by over 1000 writers. 

The festival starts on Friday 26th July 2024, with Artbat, CamelPhat, Paul Kalkbrenner Live, and Yotto. Saturday 27th July takes a darker turn with techno legends Adam Beyer B2B Amelie Lens and Jeff Mills, plus the euphoric electronica of Jon Hopkins. The mix continues on Sunday 28th July, with Barry Can't Swim (Live), Honey Dijon, and more.
