Phil McIntyre Live Ltd have announced a multitude of additional tour dates in Autumn 2020 for Milton Jones - star of Mock The Week (BBC Two) BBC Radio 4, and Live at the Apollo (BBC One), household favourite, king of the one-liner and one of the UK's biggest selling comedians. His Milton: Impossible tour will now take in a huge total of 100 dates across the UK and Ireland in 2020, beginning at the Dartford's Orchard Theatre on 22nd January 2020 and concluding in London at the Shepherd's Bush Empire on 29th November 2020. Who would have thought Ernest Haeckel's famous and scientifically nerdy maxim would be central to the theme of one of the most performed plays of the early 21st century? But Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's BOOM embraces that theme and explodes it to cataclysmic comic proportions. BOOM is a combination of bedroom farce and locked door mystery. It is ironically a retrospective about 'the end of the world as we know it' (to quote R.E.M.), satirizing science, relationships and the blasé despondency of millennials.

This Musical has a superb cast, performing along an bumpy libretto. As with all Jukebox-musicals the story has been written around pre-existing songs. The authors have done a good job in incorporating a narrative that takes a lot of characters and situations from Postgirobygget's music. The band's music lends itself well to be performed in a theatrical setting, and while it is always good to have strong songs that stands on their own two feet, they can also become an obstacle when trying to conform a good flow in the story.

The 2019 New Mexico Actors Lab season has been a very strong one, and the trend continues with their final production, 4,000 Miles. Amy Herzog's 2013 Pulitzer finalist is about, in large part, the relationship between 21 year old Leo and his 91 year old grandmother, dealing with themes of family, loss, responsibility, and love in a lovely, intimately staged fashion.
