Showstopper! The Improvised Musical

West End LIVE returned to Trafalgar Square this weekend- Europe’s largest free musical theatre festival which takes place each year in the heart of London, presented by Westminster City Council and Official London Theatre. Over 50 top shows from the West End and beyond took part. Celebrating its 20th year, West End LIVE returned to Trafalgar Square today, welcoming tens of thousands of theatre fans for a free event, presented by Westminster City Council and the Society of London Theatre with support from the Mayor of London, partners and sponsors. See the videos here!

Throughout Kids Week, children aged 17 and under can see participating shows for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult, and each full-paying adult can also purchase up to two additional children's tickets at half price.

The Dukes have announced the launch of their new Spring/Summer Season. The Dukes open the doors once more to their fringe theatre venue Moor space, as shows return with classics alongside immersive and interactive titles.

Starvox Touring and Potted Productions have announced that after several successful North American tours and over 1,000 performances at Horseshoe Las Vegas, London's West End hit Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience – A Parody by Dan and Jeff is returning to San Francisco for a limited engagement!

Matthew Cavendish (The Play That Goes Wrong, West End and Broadway;  Showstopper! The Improvised Musical, West End/Edinburgh) will give audiences plenty of opportunities to boo and hiss as he plays Fleshcreep, and Will Beckerleg (Madagascar, UK Tour; Summer Holiday, UK Tour) returns to the Corn Exchange as he steps into the role of Fairy Fabulous.

Improbable have announced the full cast and creative team for An Improbable Musical, a Royal and Derngate Northampton and Improbable production. Following its critically acclaimed premiere in Northampton this February, An Improbable Musical will open at the Exeter Northcott on 27 September before a limited London run at Hackney Empire from 21 October. It will then tour the UK in spring 2023, including Gulbenkian Theatre (13 – 15 April), with further tour dates to be announced.

OFF the TOP! with Jason Kravits will play Birdland Theater on May 16th as well as The Crazy Coqs in London, May 27th-28th!

Created on the spot from audience suggestions, each show is new and unique. The Showstoppers cast transform suggestions of setting, genre and style into a fully realised all singing-all dancing musical, with ingenious storylines, clever plot twists and hilarious characters.

Acclaimed performers Rhiannon Porter (Finalist, Eurovision: You Decide 2018; Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Production, O2 Arena), JoJo Desmond (Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake; Lead Vocalist, Doctor Who Live, UK Arena Tour), Edward Handoll (BIG The Musical, West End; Saturday Night Fever, UK Tour), and Loucas Hajiantoni (One Night of Tina, European Tour) will step into the platform heels of one of the most famous pop supergroups of all time.

The UK government began announcing its tier system yesterday and London has been confirmed as Tier 2. This means that theatres will be able to reopen in December, including West End productions.
