The 2025 Tribeca Festival has revealed its lineup of talks, reunions, and retrospectives featuring groundbreaking artists, cultural icons, and unforgettable moments from cinema history.

Universal Pictures has announced the nationwide theatrical re-release of Happy Gilmore, the beloved 1996 sports comedy starring Adam Sandler as a failed hockey player turned golf sensation.

Into the Woods is a Tony Award-winning 1986 Musical written by Stephen Sondheim (Music/Lyrics) and James Lapine (Book), marking their second collaboration following Sunday in the Park with George (1984). Into the Woods premiered in 1986 at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre and then was followed by a Broadway transfer in 1987 which amassed three Tony Awards (Best Score, Best Book, and Best Actress. A year in which many know the “Great White Way,” was dominated by The Phantom of the Opera.

Longevity is becoming rarer and rarer in the performing arts. Today’s subject Jennifer Tipton has been a lighting designer for theatre, opera, ballet, and more for over 65 years and in the process has given us a body of work that is unparalleled. Her current project American Ballet Theatre’s (ABT’s) production of Crime and Punishment will be playing at Kennedy Center in the Opera House from February 12th through the 16th.

A spin-off of Nickedlodeon's Victorious is in the works, this time following Daniella Monet's character Trina Vega. The series, tentatively titled Hollywood Arts, will see Trina Vega return to the titular school as a teacher.

This year marks 15 years since I was in New York and saw my first musical on Broadway, Shrek the Musical, a fantastic family musical. On January 5, 2025, it premieres at the classic Maxim Theater and it is the first musical to be staged there after the renovation of the theater.

On a recent visit to The Kelly Clarkson Show, Jesse Eisenberg revealed that his next project follows the making of an original musical. Now, it has been confirmed that the film is officially in the works, and will star Julianne Moore and Paul Giamatti.
