On Thursday, September 19th, at 12:00pm, one of the world's foremost experts on the American Songbook, Jim Jimirro, returns to the 92ndStreet Y for his celebrated lecture series JIM J'S JUKEBOX in a lecture entitled RODGERS WITHOUT HAMMERSTEIN.

The American Songbook Association Gala honoring Sheldon Harnick will be a star studded fundraiser benefiting the ASA and its ambition to preserve and share the great songs of this country.

Melissa Manchester the Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter, actress was on stage with him last night and the combination of these two icons unleashed a chemistry that produced a spectacular event that had a celebrity filled Feinstein's/54 Below enthralled from start to finish. Al Roker, Deborah Roberts, Clive Davis, Brenda Vaccaro, and Michael Riedel among others were in the club for this exciting opening night.

New Jersey Performing Arts Center and Metropolitan Entertainment welcome acclaimed singer and songwriter Rickie Lee Jones in concert this fall. She performs at the intimate Victoria Theater at New Jersey Performing Arts Center on October 15, 2019 at 7:30pm. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 16 at 10:00am.

The Broadway at Birdland concert series presented singer/pianist Steve Ross in “Songs I Love” last night. Steve looked back at his long career and revisited songs from his first recording (1979) and his more recent efforts celebrating Alan Jay Lerner, Noel Coward and Stephen Sondheim. KT Sullivan who is currently appearing with Steve at the Irish Repertory Theatre in LOVE, NOEL: The Songs and Letters of Noel Coward (written and devised by Barry Day) joined Steve for a few songs.

Tickets are now on-sale for the New York Premiere of the new musical comedy BROADWAY BOUNTY HUNTER, opening Off-Broadway this summer at Greenwich House Theater (27 Barrow Street). The follow-up to his viral smash hit Be More Chill which made its Broadway bow this spring, BROADWAY BOUNTY HUNTER features music and lyrics by two-time Drama Desk Award nominee Joe Iconis ('Smash', The Black Suits, Bloodsong of Love at Ars Nova), who also co-wrote the book with Lance Rubin (Denton Little's Deathdate), and Jason SweetTooth Williams (Be More Chill). Directed and choreographed by Jennifer Werner (The Book of Mormon Supervising Associate Director), BROADWAY BOUNTY HUNTER begins previews Tuesday, July 9, 2019, with an official opening night of Tuesday, July 23, for a limited engagement of ten weeks through Sunday, September 15.
