The Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust has announced its new core exhibition will open for previews on June 30, 2022. The Holocaust: What Hate Can Do will offer an expansive and timely presentation of Holocaust history told through personal stories, objects, photos, and film-many on view for the first time.

The series will introduce a new dynamic judging panel – welcoming home Stephen “tWitch” Boss, alongside Emmy-, Tony- and Golden Globe-nominated artist Matthew Morrison and dancer, singer and digital sensation JoJo Siwa. Award-winning artist CJ Solar  has set March 25 as the release date for “All I Can Think About Lately,” the latest single from his upcoming The Future’s Neon album. The first and only production of ONCE ON THIS ISLAND I saw was a concert production featuring an all-white cast. So, when I heard that Speakeasy Stage would be producing the show, I was excited to be able to see how it is meant to be performed. This production, directed by Pascale Florestral and music directed by David Freeman Coleman, did not disappoint.

This week I saw productions of two decades-old musicals, each written by one of theatre's great composer/lyricists, which, in their original productions, ran a combined total of nine performances on Broadway.

If Anyone Can Whistle must be a concert, please, let it be a concert like this. MasterVoices, an organization dedicated to elevating choral works, brought the show to Carnegie Hall for a one-night engagement. They masterfully adapted the show as a scaled-down concert version, dropping any bells and whistles.

The performance starred Vanessa Williams in the role of a corrupt mayor of a small economically depressed American town. Joining her were Elizabeth Stanley, Tony Award winner Santino Fontana, Douglas Sills, Eddie Cooper, and Michael Mulheren. The show was narrated by Joanna Gleason. It was directed and conducted by MasterVoices Artistic Director Ted Sperling.

Tonight, March 10, 2022, the concert production of MasterVoices' performance of Anyone Can Whistle, takes the stage at ​​​​​​​ Carnegie Hall. The performance will star Vanessa Williams, who performed in the 2002 Broadway revival of Sondheim's Into the Woods and the 2010 revue Sondheim on Sondheim, in the role of a corrupt mayor of a small economically depressed American town.

Dallas legend Patrick Duffy (The Man from Atlantis; Step by Step) and Linda Purl (Happy Days; Homeland) fly in from Hollywood to star alongside Gray O' Brien (Peak Practice; Coronation Street), leading the cast in this exciting new production of the classic Broadway thriller.

San Diego Musical Theatre is currently staging the musical comedy Catch Me If You Can from now until March 13th. The production opened on February 11th.

After garnering strong support for her most recent single, 'Something Like That,' singer-songwriter Alannah McCready has now released a new single titled 'Can I Call.' The song tells the story of a long-distance relationship; a couple is living on two separate coasts, one of them is chasing their dreams and working to create a better life for them both. The song describes the multitude of feelings accompanying such a situation, including being in love, experiencing loneliness, and having hope for the future.

Catch Me If You Can begins performances tonight, March 4, at the Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater. The musical features a book by Terrence McNally, music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman and based on the Dreamworks Motion Picture.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Joanna Gleason will join the cast of the concert production of Anyone Can Whistle at Carnegie Hall, taking place  on Thursday, March 10.

The upcoming season will feature highly skilled dancers between the ages of 18 and 30, showcasing their talents in various dance styles, including contemporary, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, animation, breaking and more. Those who are selected to move on to the SYTYCD studio will work with world-renowned choreographers and compete each week.
