Northlight Theatre has announced its 2022-2023 season, opening with the buddy comedy The Garbologists by Lindsay Joelle, directed by Cody Estle; followed by Georgiana & Kitty: Christmas at Pemberley by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon, directed by Marti Lyons and more.

Boston Ballet will present MINDscape, a program featuring the world premieres of William Forsythe’s Blake Works III and Resident Choreographer Jorma Elo’s Ruth’s Dance, plus the return of Forsythe’s Blake Works I.

Brown will direct the upcoming production of Ntozake Shange’s for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf on Broadway in 2022. Pulitzer winners Paula Vogel, Katori Hall, Annie Baker & Sam Shepard are just 4 of the many celebrated playwrights whose work was developed in the Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF). Established in 1976 and currently led by Playwrights Foundation’s Executive Artistic Director Jessica Bird Beza, this year’s BAPF runs July 16-25, featuring 5 very different new works. Casts include acclaimed actors such as Emily Kuroda. BroadwayWorld recently caught up with Beza to talk about the festival.
