BIO
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Sandra Okuboyejo is a first-generation Nigerian-American actor, writer and narrator. Broadway/Tour: "Hamilton" (Cover Eliza, Angelica, Peggy). Off-Broadway: “Nollywood Dreams" (Ayamma) at MCC, Ragtime on Ellis Island (Sarah). Regional: "Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812" (Natasha) at PCLO. Tv credits: Recurring on ‘Dr.Death’ Season 2, and Guest Starring on ‘Tommy’ and ‘The Blacklist’. Film credits: leading ‘The Gag’, opposite Sheri Renee Scott, premiering at Tribeca Film Festival 2023. Her original musical "Halona & Ophelia", where she helms book, music and lyrics was named a 2023 Jonathan Larson Grant finalist and 2024 NAMT semi-finalist. Additionally an accomplished voice-over artist, featured in audiobooks and productions like Jordan Peele's "Out There Screaming”, she’s earned starred reviews from Booklist and multiple earphones awards.
