Scoogelicious, Peckham’s take on Charles Dickens’ immortal classic A Christmas Carol takes centre stage this December, written by playwright and actor Geoffrey Aymer and presented by Theatre Peckham.

The performance at hand has its moments, and they are all while Patrick Warburton is on stage. He is a funny actor performing funny roles in funny scripts. I wish this group had just performed the texts as written. There are sound cues, animations, deadly pauses, and unexplainable impersonations which weigh down the tempos of the plays.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage the gripping tale of determination, hope, motivation, and inspiration, “From the Mississippi Delta,” written by Endesha Ida Mae Holland, Ph.D., and directed by Goldie E. Urbanite Theatre will begin its 2022/23 Season with a twisted and inventive dark comedy, The Burdens by Matt Schatz. The Burdens, directed by Urbanite Theatre Artistic Director Brendan Ragan, will follow a set of clumsy siblings plotting to address a problematic grandfather. The production runs October 22 - December 4, 2022.

City Springs Theatre Company is presenting In The Heights. Directed by Broadway’s Natalie Caruncho, this energetic and heart-warming musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda will be presented October 21 – November 6, 2022 in the Byers Theatre at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center. Amaterasu Za is presenting Chushingura - 47 Ronin, adapted and directed by Ako Dachs, it will be performed mainly in Japanese with English subtitles.  Chushingura - 47 Ronin, which has begun performances, will officially open on October 23, 2022, at the A.R.T./New York Mezzanine Theater. Jerry Seinfeld will return to the historic Beacon Theatre with an all-new show to resume his record-breaking residency, which originally began in 2016. The upcoming dates include: December 16-17, 2022; January 20-21, 2023; February 3-4, 2023; and March 3-4, 2023, with performances at 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on all eight nights.
