Families across America will be able to enjoy Dallas Black Dance Academy's (DBD Academy) third annual Espresso Nutcracker as they celebrate the holiday in the comfort of their own home for the price of one virtual ticket.

In conjunction with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's first-ever virtual season (December 2-31, 2020), Ailey Extension is inviting dancers of all experience levels the chance to learn Ailey choreography from former Company members. Novice and experienced dancers alike are welcome to join virtual workshops to learn excerpts from Alvin Ailey's most celebrated works including Night Creature and Revelations. These workshops allow dancers to be part of a historic global experience as they come together with Ailey fans from around the world to revel in the global impact of Ailey's works and celebrate the 60th anniversary of the timeless American masterpiece Revelations.

Tonight, the 2020 Gateways Music Festival Finale Livestream Concert will feature the Traveling Through Time string quartet with Edward W. Hardy, violin (composer of The Woodsman); Candace Rembert, violin; Drew Alexander Forde, viola (social media influencer, ThatViolaKid); and more.

York's show (and tell!) virtual cast reunion series continues tonight, October 19th at 7pm with Taking a Chance on Love. The event will feature Erik Haagensen (deviser), Jeff Smith (music director/arranger), Joe McConnell (casting director), and cast members Terry Burrell, Jerry Dixon, Donna English, and Eddie Korbich

As of October 28, the Shaw Festival's concert series will move indoors to the Jackie Maxwell Studio Theatre with a limit of 50 guests and safety protocols in place. Featuring the music of Duke Ellington, Dorothy Fields and Cole Porter, the performances run Wednesdays to Fridays at 6 p.m.​ and Saturdays at 2 p.m. from October 28 through November 20.
