ARTFARM reboots SHAKESPEARE'S ARGUMENT for the company's 10th Anniversary.

Fans of the 1998 film The Wedding Singer, which proved an unqualified hit for its stars Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, will relish seeing the quirky story revisited on the big stage of the Carpenter Center in Long Beach. In 2006 The Wedding Singer was turned into a Broadway musical with the identical Ridgefield, New Jersey characters, but with some alterations in plotline. What counts most is the upbeat 80s humor, which the stage version retains in spades, as well as unlimited heart. MTW (Musical Theatre West)'s regional premiere does the show proud under Larry Raben's dynamite direction and sporting a rollicking cast.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director William Russo have announced that the new musical Once, based on the Academy Award-winning film, rounds out the theatre's 2011-2012 season.

Using almost all of the same cast and elements from their initial 2010 production of the Elvis musical ALL SHOOK UP (at its former home in the OC Pavilion in Santa Ana), the Orange County-based 3D Theatricals is once again mounting a newer, more rousingly-amplified revival in their new home at the Plummer Auditorium in Fullerton through May 29, 2011. The results? A cute, crowd-pleaser of a show performed by an awesome cast that beams their inherent silliness like a badge of honor.

During July, August and September, the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events in partnership with the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture will present three cabaret events and three afternoons of high tea accompanied by unique entertainment at Maxim's: The Nancy Goldberg International Center at 24 E. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will premiere a new digital restoration of 'Bye Bye Birdie' on Wednesday, April 27, at 7:30 p.m. at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills. Hosted by film critic Stephen Farber, the evening will feature a Digital Cinema presentation with a newly restored 4-channel stereo soundtrack, followed by an onstage discussion with special guests Ann-Margret and Bobby Rydell.

The Moth Theatre, John Markland, Artistic Director, Efrain Schunior, Managing Director, has announced their production of Super Sunday, a comedy by Stephen Collins, directed by Jamie Wollrab.

Jazz/swing/cabaret singer Isabel Rose performs at one of New York's premiere jazz clubs, the Blue Note, on April 11th. Rose joined a band that will include Tedd Firth on keys, Martin Wind on bass, Warren Odze on drums, Bernd Schoenhart on guitar, Roger Squitero on percussion, Mike Davis on trombone, Aaron Heick on sax, and C.J. Camerieri on trumpet.
