Tariq TrotterTariq Trotter returned to the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to discuss the new Off-Broadway adaption of Black No More, which he stars in and wrote the music and lyrics for with the Roots. The cast also features Brandon Victor Dixon, Jennifer Damiano, Tamika Lawrence, Ephraim Sykes, Lillias White, and more.

The New Group has announced that the new musical Black No More will begin previews January 18, in advance of an Official Opening Night now set for Tuesday, February 15, a schedule update due to Covid-19.  Previews were previously slated to begin January 11.

The New Group has announced complete casting for the world premiere production of Black No More.  This new musical features Book by John Ridley, Music and Lyrics by Tariq Trotter, Music Supervision, Orchestrations and Vocal Arrangements by Daryl Waters, Choreography by Bill T. Presley Ryan has announced her final day at Beetlejuice on Broadway will be Sunday, March 29. Ryan made the announcement on her Instagram, where she also announced she'll be doing a giveaway for a pair of tickets to her final performance for Women's Day this Sunday. A replacement for Lydia has not yet been announced.

Beginning Monday March 9, 2020, the playing schedule for Beetlejuice at Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre (1634 Broadway) will be as follows: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 7pm, Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 7:30pm with matinees Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.

Presley Ryan will star as Lydia in the smash hit musical BEETLEJUICE from Friday, February 28, through Sunday, March 29.

BroadwayWorld has learned that Presley Ryan will take over the role of Lydia Deetz in BEETLEJUICE on Broadway beginning tonight through the weekend. She succeeds Sophia Anne Caruso who played her last performance this Wednesday.
