Tim Realbuto Biography
Mr. Realbuto was a child star turned adult writer. He is most known for writing and directing the Off-Broadway musical hit 'Ghostlight' starring Rachel York and Tony Winner Daisy Eagan at the Signature Theatre in 2011.In recent years, Tim has made a comeback to the stage, acting Off-Broadway and in film, most recently bringing his "not-so-solo" solo show to famed venue 54 Below entitled TIM REALBUTO: ALONE (WITH PLENTY OF HELP), with special guests Tony Winner Beth Leavel, Derek Klena, Jenna Leigh Green, Jason Gotay, Drama Desk Nominee Christina Bianco, Natascia Diaz, Laurissa 'Lala' Romain, Kimberly Faye Greenberg, and Broadway legend Joy Franz. The ensemble included Julie D'Moure, Justin Anthony Long, Anna Louise Morse, and Nicholas Yenson.
The show sold out and opened to critical acclaim. It will tour in the fall.
Tim and his writing partner Matthew Martin are currently writing two new musicals for the Broadway stage, one based on a popular film.

In July The Green Room 42 presented FABULOUS FANNY's first live, in-person performance since the pandemic began.

In order to successfully complete the film, Mr. Realbuto had to lose over 100 pounds while filming as stated in his contract. After losing 154 pounds, he broke the world record for most weight lost for a movie role in cinema history. The record was most recently held by Christian Bale, who reportedly lost 63 pounds for 2004’s ‘The Machinist.’
