Simon Baker

Simon Baker is an Australian actor, director, and producer who began his career in television after landing his first acting role in a commercial. He went on to star in Australian series including E Street, Home and Away, and Heartbreak High, winning the 1993 Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent. After relocating to the United States in the mid-1990s, he appeared in the Academy Award-winning film L.A. Confidential (1997) before gaining wider recognition as Nick Fallin in the legal drama The Guardian.

Baker achieved international fame for his starring role as Patrick Jane in the hit CBS series The Mentalist, earning critical acclaim and becoming one of television's highest-paid actors during the show's run. His film credits include The Ring Two, Land of the Dead, The Devil Wears Prada, and numerous other features.

In 2017, Baker made his directorial debut with Breath, an adaptation of Tim Winton's novel, which he also co-wrote, co-produced, and starred in, expanding his career behind the camera as a filmmaker.

His recent film and television credits include: Roar, Boy Swallows Universe, The Narrow Road to the Deep North, Ten Pound Poms, and Scarpetta.
