On Friday, March 3rd, PFLAG celebrated 50 years of leading with love at a spectacular gala event in the city where it all started. The iconic organization—best known for supporting, educating, and advocating for LGBTQ+ people, parents, families and allies—was founded in March 1973. Fifty years later celebrity performers, presenters, and honorees joined PFLAG leaders, allies, advocates, and corporate leaders to celebrate PFLAG’s historic impact. In celebration of the 60th anniversary of James Bond on the silver screen, the 14 remaining couples will perform dances to iconic songs from the James Bond franchise for week three of the mirrorball competition. “Bond Night” will open with a special pro performance to “Live and Let Die” by Paul McCartney & Wings.
DANCING WITH THE STARS to Celebrate 'Elvis Night' on September 26
The professional dancers will kick off “Elvis Night” with a high-energy performance to “Also Sprach Zarathustra” / “Don’t Be Cruel” choreographed by Jemel McWilliams. The evening will be split into three chronological acts, each exploring a different period of Elvis’s career: from his early days in rock music, through his Hollywood era.

WABC-TV, the No. 1 broadcast station in the U.S., announced that one of the most popular weather forecasters in New York City history, Sam Champion, is joining its weekday morning and noon teams as weather anchor. Starting Monday, June 3, 2019, Champion joins early risers Ken Rosato, Shirleen Allicot and traffic reporter Heather O'Rourke on Eyewitness News This Morning from 4:30-7:00 a.m. He will also be on Eyewitness News at noon with David Novarro and Shirleen Allicot. Champion will round out the Eyewitness News AccuWeather team led by chief meteorologist Lee Goldberg, along with Amy Freeze and Jeff Smith. Champion will continue to contribute to ABC News.
