Last appeared on Broadway in the National Theatre production of The History Boys playing Rudge, the role he originated in London. Other theatre credits include appearances at the National Theatre in Howard Katz, Henry V, His Girl Friday, and His Dark Materials, and at the Royal Court Theatre in Plasticine, A Miracle, and The Pass. Film: Pride, Grabbers, In Passing, and The History Boys. Television: HBO’s “Looking,” “Being Human,” “Banished,” “Sherlock,” “Doctor Who,” and “Little Dorrit.”

Neil Bartlett Will Direct a Live Version of Derek Jarman's Seminal Film, BLUE

BLUE was Derek Jarman's final film. Completed in May 1993, just months before his death, it is his testament. For 74 minutes, an unchanging screen of celestial blue is accompanied by voices which deliver a collage of fragments from Jarman's diary, describing the gradual onset of blindness as he battles with HIV. As his daily life is stripped away, only the essentials remain.
