The world premiere thriller by Chloë Moss begins performances June 20.
The Donmar Warehouse has released rehearsal photos for The Guilty, the world premiere thriller by Chloë Moss, ahead of its first performance on June 20.
Starring Russell Tovey as troubled police officer Joe, The Guilty follows a night-shift emergency dispatcher who receives a desperate 999 call from a woman named Emily. As Joe attempts to piece together fragmented clues and determine her whereabouts, a tense real-time mystery unfolds, revealing that not everything is as it initially appears.
The production is directed by Felix Barrett, founder and artistic director of Punchdrunk, and is based on the films Den Skyldige and The Guilty.
Tovey returns to the Donmar in the role of Joe. His stage credits include Constellations, Angels in America, A View from the Bridge, The History Boys, The Sea, and Pinter at the Pinter. His screen work includes Feud: Capote vs. The Swans, The Night Manager, Years and Years, Sherlock, Being Human, Doctor Who, Pride, and The History Boys.
The creative team includes set designer Alex Eales, lighting designer Anna Watson, sound designer Gareth Fry, video designer Luke Halls, associate director Elin Schofield, and casting director Lotte Hines CDG.
The Guilty runs at The Donmar Warehouse from June 20 through August 15, with an official opening night scheduled for June 30.
