Robert Stanton BIO

Robert Stanton is an American actor with an impressive resume in theater, film, and television. He was born on March 8, 1963, in San Antonio, Texas, and grew up in Midland. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a BFA in Drama.
Stanton's Broadway debut was in the 1992 production of "A Streetcar Named Desire," starring Alec Baldwin and Jessica Lange. He played the role of the Young Collector and received critical acclaim for his performance. He went on to appear in several other Broadway productions, including "All Shook Up" (2005), "The Coast of Utopia" (2007), and "Mary Stuart" (2009).
In addition to his work on Broadway, Stanton has also appeared in numerous off-Broadway productions, including "The Common Pursuit," "The Mysteries," and "The Importance of Being Earnest." He has been a member of the prestigious Atlantic Theater Company since 1992 and has appeared in several of their productions, including "The Hothouse," "The Night Heron," and "The Cherry Orchard."
Stanton's film career began in the early 1990s with small roles in films such as "Bob Roberts" (1992) and "Quiz Show" (1994). He went on to appear in several other films, including "Mercury Rising" (1998), "The Quiet American" (2002), and "Confessions of a Shopaholic" (2009). He is perhaps best known for his role as Larry the cameraman in the hit film "The Devil Wears Prada" (2006).
Stanton has also had a successful career in television, appearing in several popular shows such as "Law & Order," "The West Wing," and "Sex and the City." He had a recurring role on the hit HBO series "Six Feet Under" as Hugo, the mortician's assistant. He also appeared in the ABC series "Castle" as Dr. Darrell Meeks.
In addition to his work in theater, film, and television, Stanton is also an accomplished voice actor. He has provided voices for several video games, including "Grand Theft Auto IV" and "Red Dead Redemption." He also provided the voice of the villainous Dr. Nefarious in the popular video game "Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time."
Stanton's most recent work includes his role as Mr. Sawyer in the 2019 Broadway production of "To Kill a Mockingbird," based on the classic novel by Harper Lee. The production, which was directed by Bartlett Sher and starred Jeff Daniels as Atticus Finch, received critical acclaim and was a commercial success.
