MILE SQUARE THEATRE has announced their holiday play of their 20th anniversary season: The World Premiere of THE CHRISTMAS TREE FARM, directed by RACHEL DART. THE CHRISTMAS TREE FARM will play a four-week limited engagement at Mile Square Theatre.

Live & In Color is accepting submissions for their 2024 Fall retreat at the Bingham Camp. Playwrights, composers, and lyricists of color and underrepresented communities can submit their new musicals with a 4-actor cast limit. Selected submissions will receive a $1,000 stipend, housing, meals, and travel.

The June Bingham New Playwright Commission honors the legacy of the late artist and playwright, June Bingham, by providing support to a new generation of early-career women/femme and/or non-binary storytellers as they seek to create work that manifests change in the world. Director and Arts Leader, Abigail Grubb, serves as the Program's Director and Co-Founder alongside Live & In Color's Artistic Director and June Bingham's nephew, Devanand Janki.

Pack your bags! Live & In Color is taking a tour of the artists and pieces pushing the industry toward equity and inclusion. The evening will feature a roadmap of songs from Live & In Color's artistic community and will serve as a fundraiser to support the company's continued mission to develop commercially bound plays and musicals created by artists who exist within the intersections of underrepresented identities and center inclusion.

These diverse and exciting programs, along with previously announced events through April, add expanded community reach and engage broad audiences throughout the Gulf Coast.

Ma-Yi Theater Company has announced the newest members of the Ma-Yi Writers Lab, which is the largest collective of AAPI playwrights in the country.

FIM Flint Repertory Theatre will present another world premiere with The Future is Female... by Nandita Shenoy February 3-19. The sharp new comedy addressing women's rights is directed by Kathryn Walsh and stars playwright Nandita Shenoy (Washer/Dryer) alongside Hallie Bee Bard (Birthday Candles), Siho Ellsmore and Clara Tristan.

Live & In Color has announced the opening of applications for the 2023 June Bingham New Playwright Commission. This program provides holistic creation and development support to early-career femme and/or non-binary playwrights to take a play from inception through a first reading.

This concert will be a fundraiser to help support the company's mission to develop talent with the goal of diversity and inclusion at its core.

Clubbed Thumb has announced complete casting for the final production of the rescheduled 25th SUMMERWORKS festival of new plays, Bodies They Ritual. Performances will run June 22-July 2.

 The Hermitage Artist Retreat announces new community programs in June with Hermitage Fellows spanning music, visual art, and theater. These newly added programs are presented at outdoor venues throughout Sarasota County as part of the Hermitage’s partnerships with local organizations, including Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, the Van Wezel Foundation, and Art Center Sarasota.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee will present the 2022 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre to five outstanding contributors to the Broadway industry - the Asian American Performers Action Coalition (AAPAC); Broadway For All; music copyist, Emily Grishman; Feinstein's/54 Below and United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829, IATSE.
