Outside New York City, it is Connecticut that has almost an embarrassment of riches when it comes to theater. Forty years ago, a group of actors, writers and directors, including Keir Dullea and his late wife Susie Fuller, founded Theatre Artists Workshop as a place where they could experiment and cultivate new works, hone their skills, and work with their peers in a place that is safe from the glare of the public spotlight.

Playhouse on Park's 12th Main Stage Season will continue with Peter Rothstein's ALL IS CALM: THE CHRISTMAS TRUCE OF 1914. This production will be available to stream at home beginning December 16, 2020 through January 3, 2021. There will also be in person screenings at Cinestudio in Hartford, CT on December 18 and 19.

Following the Playhouse on Park production, Merrilee Mannerly: A Magnificent New Musical will play an open-ended run in New York City, opening in the spring of 2020.

Literature Alive is an opportunity to extend the classroom by bringing students into the theatre during the day for a matinee performance. Broadway veteran, Susan Haefner, and featured actor in Playhouse on Park's The Scottsboro Boys, Ivory McKay, are slated to be the special guest teaching artists for the Musical Theatre Preparatory Program.
