Doug Shapiro

Doug Shapiro really loves breakfast. He is also a music theatre and voice actor based in New York City. Off Broadway: Good Time Charlie (u/s five roles, The Public Theater), Once Upon a Mattress (u/s Dauntless, Transport Group) and The Sorceress (u/s four roles, National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene). Doug has been a company member of The Barnstormers Theatre (NH) for over a quarter-century [most recent roles: André Thibault in DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, Nostradamus in SOMETHING ROTTEN (2025 NH Theatre Award nomination) and Douglas Hartley in FRONT ROW TO MURDER, 2025 NH Theatre Award winner)]. He role-plays with corporate executives and medical students, sings a regular church gig with Madison Avenue Baptsit Church and a regular Broadway gig (Red Bucket Follies for Broadway Cares), and sings for emerging composers and lyricists all over the place. His animation work includes voicing several characters for the cast album and live production of FINDING NEMO: THE MUSICAL for Disney and his own cartoon “DougToons,” which can be found on YouTube.
