by Michael Rabice - Nov 21, 2025
Never trust a wolf is sheep's clothing, as the saying goes. But in this case Mr Wolf is a college professor who harbors dark secrets, delusions and young girls in his home. This disturbing plot makes for a gripping evening of theatre in Rajiv Joseph's play MR. WOLF, now playing at Road Less Traveled Theater.

Review: DORIAN at Irish Classical Theatre
by Michael Rabice - Apr 4, 2025
The personal life and writings of Oscar Wilde have been so inextricably linked that the new play DORIAN has woven Wilde's journey into that of one of his best known characters, Dorian Gray. In an everything old is new again fashion, Wilde's' 1891 play THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY has been freely adapted by Phoebe Eclair-Powell and Owen Horsley into something remarkably fresh and creative.
Review: WITCH at Road Less Traveled Theater
by Michael Rabice - Nov 18, 2024
With a penchant for the cutting edge and often obscure, Road Less Traveled Productions has programmed Jen Silverman's dark comedy WITCH in it's regional premiere. Silverman is now represented on Broadway with the 2 person show THE ROOMMATE with the unlikely duo of Patti LuPone and Mia Farrow. This production of WITCH has all the makings of what should be a riveting production, but the script is not one for the ages.

Review: ALL MY SONS at Road Less Traveled Theater
by Michael Rabice - Nov 17, 2023
How an American dream ends up as an American tragedy pretty much sums up the gut wrenching production of ALL MY SONS now playing at Road Less Traveled Theater. Arthur Miller's 1947 classic immerses the audience is post World War II Americana, where the pangs of the war are still felt and a quest for happiness and prosperity could be felt in every suburban neighborhood.
Review: THE MAI at Irish Classical Theatre
by Michael Rabice - Jan 27, 2023
A modern day memory play of sorts with influences of Greek mythology may be one way to describe THE MAI, now playing at Irish Classical Theatre. Never a company to shy away from complex topics, the drama that is unfolding challenges the viewer in a myriad of ways.
Review: CHARLES DICKENS' GREAT EXPECTATIONS at Irish Classical Theatre
by Michael Rabice - Dec 2, 2022
The holiday season often brings about classic Christmas stories being retold and Charles Dickens' A CHRISTMAS CAROL is usually number one on most producer's short list. Instead, Buffalo's Irish Classical Theatre Company is presenting Dickens' GREAT EXPECTATIONS in a newer version by Neil Bartlett. And while the brief Christmas theme is glossed over, the familiar characters still are ripe for this creative theatrical evening.
