Ukraine's national theatre – the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Drama Theatre – will bring its production of Brian Friel's Translations to the Abbey stage from Tuesday, 20th – Saturday, 24th of June, the Abbey Theatre has announced.

The cast of the musical Moulin Rouge! has a difficult task. The beloved 2001 movie directed by Baz Luhrmann has achieved near-cult status. Its cast included Ewan McGregor, Nicole Kidman, and Jim Broadbent, all at the top of their game. A musical based on a film so iconic has a lot to live up to.

Dayton Performing Arts Alliance presents the regional premiere of Dayton Opera's original production of Das Rheingold (The Rhein Gold), the first of the four operas of Richard Wagner's Der Ring des Nibelungen (The Ring Cycle). Das Rheingold, a brand-new production, features costumes, sets, and video projections created specifically for Dayton Opera.

The Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) announced winners of its 27th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards in 14 categories of film, television, commercials, music videos and animation features, during a black-tie dinner gala at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown on Saturday night, February 18, 2023. 

Luis G. Hoyos, award-winning set designer best known for Memoirs of a Geisha, Dreamgirls, will receive the Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) Lifetime Achievement Award from the Set Designers & Model Makers Council (SDMM). The ceremony will take place at the 27th Annual Art Directors Guild’s Excellence in Production Design Awards.

The Art Directors Guild (ADG, IATSE Local 800) has announced that Illustrator/Storyboard Artist Janet Kusnick will be presented with an Art Directors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award by the Illustrators and Matte Artists (IMA) Council. The celebration will take place at the 27th Annual ADG Awards on Saturday February 18, 2023, at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown. Making the announcement was Guild President Nelson Coates, ADG and Awards Producers Michael Allen Glover, ADG and Megan Elizabeth Bell, ADG.

Yvette Nicole Brown is an Emmy-nominated actress, writer, producer, singer and host. Her numerous movie credits include Disney’s Disenchanted, Avengers: Endgame, Dreamgirls, Tropic Thunder and the live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp. Brown has an extensive voiceover career and has been a guest and co-host on such shows as The View.
