Anthony has been acting professionally for over thirty years, and he has appeared in hundreds of short films, plays, and musicals including such favorites as La Traviata with The Opera Company of North Carolina and Assassins as Sam Byck. He is the writer, producer, and current star of "The Imbible: A Spirited History of Drinking" (http://imbible.org), a new comedy with drinks and music. Playing in an authentic New York City speakeasy, "The Imbible" sweeps audiences along a 10,000-year journey through history and across the globe accompanied by craft cocktails and the vocal stylings of The Backwaiters acapella group. A smash-hit with both audiences and critics, the show enjoyed sold-out runs at both the New York International Fringe Festival as well as an extension at the Fringe Encore Series and is now playing an Off-Broadway run that sells out weekly. Hailed as “remarkably compelling” by Time Out New York and “an absolute must-see” by The Huffington Post, "The Imbible" treats audiences to a completely original and thoroughly enjoyable evening of theatre utterly unlike anything they’ve ever experienced.
Anthony is also a regular guest on national television shows like FOX Money, The Dr. Oz Show, and The Better Show, as well as numerous radio programs on networks such as SiriusXM and NPR. Anthony has a concentration in music theory from Duke University, where he also studied opera and vocal performance with legendary voice instructor John Hanks. He has sung with many award-winning vocal groups including the Duke Chorale, the Durham Civic Choral Society, The Accidentals acappella group, and Voices of Gotham Barbershop Harmony Society Chorus. Anthony founded his first theatre company in 2000, and he has been running stage companies on the east coast for nearly fifteen years. GIAA
