BIO

Alexis Tidwell is a New York based entertainer from Memphis, TN. She received her Master and Bachelor of Music degrees in Choral Music Education from the University of Tennessee and later found a home in theatre.


Some of Alexis’s credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical First National Tour as Little Eva, Shout Sister Shout! as Marvina (Seattle Rep), RENT as Joanne Jefferson (OSF), Katori Hall’s The Mountaintop as Camae (Saint Michael's Playhouse), Sister Act as Deloris Van Cartier (CFRT), The Wiz as Dorothy, Dreamgirls as Lorrell (Alhambra Theatre), and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella as Charlotte (Alabama Shakespeare Festival).
Further accomplishments include being honored with the Sankofa Award by the Memphis Black Arts Alliance, performing live on America’s Got Talent and Dancing With the Stars, and performing in Carnegie Hall.
