WHO'S AFRAID OF NATHAN LAW? to Receive Theatrical Premiere in September
The critically acclaimed documentary WHO’S AFRAID OF NATHAN LAW? Is set to open in theaters beginning September 20 in New York at DCTV Firehouse and Los Angeles at the Laemmle Monica Film Center. The film’s director Joe Piscatella and the main participant Nathan Law will be in person at select Q/A screenings on opening weekend in both cities.
PARTICLE FEVER Musical in Development By David Henry Hwang
A new musical, Particle Fever, based on the 2013 documentary film about the largest scientific experiment ever undertaken, is currently in development. The musical is written by David Henry Hwang, includes new music and lyrics by Bear McCreary and Zoe Sarnak, is directed by Leigh Silverman, and produced by Megan Kingery and Annie Roney.
Bill Burr's Next Stand-Up Special Finds Home at Hulu
Taped in late June at the Moore Theatre in Seattle, Burr’s eighth stand-up special will launch on Hulu, as well as on Disney+ outside the U.S. The special’s title, launch date on platforms and other information will be announced at a later date.
Review: ANASTASIA THE MUSICAL at Theatre In The Park
Second show this spring at the Shawnee Mission Park Theatre In The Park, is ANASTASIA, a 2017 fairy tale based on a wished-for result concerning the Russian Grand Duchess Anatasia. This, in turn, was based on an earlier 1997 animated film and an even earlier imagining in a 1956 film.
ANASTASIA the Musical is fortunate to have found some super voices for all its lead roles.
