Championed by The New York Times as "skillful, joyful, buoyant entertainment," the Fred Garbo Inflatable Theater Co. is family-friendly theater troupe that specializes in comedy routines, dancing, juggling and, above all (literally), inflatable props. Comprised of only two people, the troupe has toured the world, garnering praise from The New York Times, The Washington Times, The Calgary Sun and The Glasgow Herald, the latter of which described the group as, "unique, outrageous, marvelous - the art of pneumatic vaudeville." The ensemble has also appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman. At the helm of this duo is Fred Garbo, who has been a professional performer for more than three decades. Over the years, he has gone from Sesame Street, in which he played Barkley the Dog, to Broadway, serving as the chief juggler in the Broadway production of Barnum. For the past two decades, he and artist George York have worked together on bringing inflatable props to life on stages around the world.Videos
