Page2Stage Matinee of River's End Plays Spirit of Broadway Theater

The second Sunday of every show is our Page2Stage Matinee. This is one of our most heavily subscribed performances for the season!

For the second show of the 2011 season we are moving our pre-show discussion from 1:30 to 1pm and are opening the doors to everyone! That's right the pre-show discussion is FREE!!! While our subscribers will always have their own reserved seats, anyone who arrives at the doors of the theater for the 1pm pre-show discussion will be admitted for free. (You need to purchase a ticket to see the 2pm performance!)

"I decided to make this change for a couple of reasons" said SBT Founding Artistic Director/CEO, Brett A. Bernardini. "First, I wanted to capitalize on the strengths of our work as a valuable resources for the community, schools and beyond. By moving the pre-show talk to 1pm, I am making the talk available to everyone, thus deepening the work of the theater, Secondly, I wanted to afford our long-time subscribers the opportunity to "enjoy" a pre-show discussion without the distractions of ushers seating people DURING the pre-show talk. Finally, I want to build the pre-show talk into something of value that may incorporate presentations, panels, speakers, etc., all things we could not while trying to fit it in just before a show begins. The 1pm start time will allow us time to set-up and break down before the actual performance, as well as give us 30-minutes of time to actually present a "valid" pre-show program."

The pre-show talk is FREE and open to the public. Tickets holders will be seated in their reserved seats for the pre-show talk. Other seats will be first-come, first-serve. Admission to the theater will be closed from 1 - 1:30pm. Ticket holders for the 2pm performance who are not attending the pre-show talk will be seated at the conclusion of the Page2Stage pre-show talk, aprox. 1:30pm. Attendees to the pre-show talk wishing to stay for the 2pm matinee will need to purchase a ticket in the box office.
